Little Oilers

• Little Oilers is the perfect introduction to hockey for young players new to the game. This fun and supportive beginner program focuses on developing fundamental skating and hockey skills while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the sport through age-appropriate instruction and engaging on-ice activities led by experienced coaches. Families can choose between a 14-week Wednesday night session or a 12-week Saturday morning session, making it easy to find an option that fits their schedule while giving young athletes the opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun on the ice.

• Some class times may change; all players will be notified in advance

Returning Players

• Can take this class in conjunction with Metro Youth Hockey

Gear Rental

• Gear is rented for the duration of the session (included with registration)

• Gear should be picked up prior to the first day of class

• Gear must be returned on the final day of the session

Gear Purchase

• All required gear can be purchased at Sledge’s Den (Pro Shop)

• Players will be properly fitted by staff

• Sledge’s team will work with each family to help keep costs affordable

• Purchase qualifying gear and receive the 12-week session at no additional cost

Purchase Requirements

• Minimum of 2 pieces of hockey equipment (a gear bag counts as one item, sticks are not included)

• Minimum total purchase equivalent to the cost of the class
