WeStreet Ice Center and Tulsa Parks Expand Partnership to Provide Free Skating and Lunch for Summer Campers

Tulsa, OK — February 5th, 2026 —WeStreet Ice Center and Tulsa Parks are proud to continue and expand a meaningful community partnership that provides free public skating experiences and lunch for participants in Tulsa Parks Summer Camp programs. The initiative, which began when WeStreet Ice Center first opened, focuses on creating accessible recreational opportunities for local youth — particularly those from low- to middle-income families.

Each year, campers visit the ice center for a day of fun on the ice, where they can enjoy skating in a welcoming, supportive environment while learning new skills and staying active during the summer months. On average, approximately 180 campers participate annually, making the program a growing highlight of the summer camp season.

“Our goal has always been to create a place where the entire community feels welcome,” said WeStreet Ice Center representatives. “Partnering with Tulsa Parks allows us to provide memorable experiences for kids who may not otherwise have the chance to step onto the ice.”

The partnership is set to continue indefinitely, reinforcing both organizations’ shared commitment to youth development, community engagement, and healthy recreation. Beyond the current program, WeStreet Ice Center and Tulsa Parks are also exploring new ways to collaborate — including bringing interactive ice sport demonstrations and activities directly to local park facilities, allowing even more children to experience the excitement of hockey, skating, and other ice-based activities.

As the program grows, both organizations hope to expand access, strengthen community connections, and inspire the next generation to stay active, try new things, and discover a love for ice sports.
