Oklahoma’s First-Ever Broomball League Launches at WeStreet Ice Center with 4-Week Learn-to-Play Program

TULSA, Okla – July 21st 2025 — WeStreet Ice Center is excited to announce the launch of Oklahoma’s first-ever Broomball League, kicking off this September with a comprehensive 4-week Learn-to-Play Broomball program designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike.

Broomball, a fast-paced ice sport similar to hockey but played with brooms and a ball instead of sticks and a puck, is growing rapidly in popularity nationwide. WeStreet Ice Center’s program will teach participants fundamental skills, game rules, and team strategies in a supportive, fun environment.

The 4-week program runs weekly sessions starting in early September, providing the foundation for a full league season to follow. Open to all ages and skill levels, this initiative is perfect for those looking to try something new, meet new friends, and stay active during Tulsa’s cooler months.

“We are proud to pioneer broomball in Oklahoma and provide a fresh, exciting sport for our community,” said Andy Scurto, CEO at WeStreet Ice Center. “Our Learn-to-Play program ensures everyone can jump right in, regardless of prior experience.”

Registration is now open at [westreeticecenter.com/broom-ball]. Spots are limited — early sign-up is encouraged.
